Human Hair Analysis in Forensic Sciences

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřená na problematiku analýzy lidských vlasů ve forenzních vě-dách. Teoretická část je rozdělena do dvou kapitol. V první kapitole je popsána anatomie lidského ochlupení (vlasy, vousy apod.) a histologie vlasu, tedy makroskopická a mikrosko-pická struktura, a růstový cyklus vlasu. Druhá kapitola popisuje forenzní vědy a jejich roz-dělení. Zejména je zaměřena na analýzu lidských vlasů jako trichologického materiálu ve forenzní antropologii. Praktická část je také rozdělena na dvě kapitoly. V první kapitole praktické části jsou popsány použité mikroskopy a následně samotný proces analýzy lidských vlasů, který se skládá ze sběru a uchovávání vzorků, jejich analýzy a porovnání. Druhá kapitola praktické části navrhuje způsoby pokračování analýzy. V závěru práce jsou porovnány výhody a nevýhody elektronového a optického mikroskopu pro analýzu lidských vlasů ve forenzních vědách

Abstract:

The diploma thesis is focused on the analysis of human hair in forensic sciences. The theo-retical part is divided into two chapters. The first chapter describes the anatomy of human hairs (hair, beard, etc.) and histology of the hair, macroscopic and microscopic structure and growth cycle of the hair. The second chapter describes forensic sciences and their divi-sion. In particular, the analysis of human hair as a trichological material in forensic anthro-pology is described. The practical part is also divided into two chapters. The first chapter of the practical part describes the used microscopes and then the process of analysis of human hair, which con-sists of collecting and storing samples, their analysis and comparison. The second chapter suggests ways to continue the analysis. At the conclusion of the work, the suitability of electron and optical microscopes for the analysis of human hair in forensic sciences are compared.
