Use of living invertebrates in biology natural history lessons at primary school

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá vlivem živých bezobratlých živočichů na znalosti žáků v hodinách přírodopisu na základní škole. V práci jsou prezentovány výsledky analýzy učebnic, která ukázala, kteří bezobratlí živočichové jsou v učebnicích přírodopisu uvedeni jako modelové organismy. V návaznosti na to jsem vytvořila seznam živočichů, kteří jsou vhodní jako živý materiál do výuky. U těchto vybraných bezobratlých živočichů jsem popsala, kde a jak je lze odlovit či koupit. Následně popisuji, jak probíhala realizace výuky s využitím živých bezobratlých živočichů v experimentální třídě. Dále uvádím výsledky srovnávacích testů experimentální třídy a kontrolní třídy, která absolvovala hodinu bez živých bezobratlých živočichů. Své výsledky výzkumu srovnávám s výsledky studií s podobnou tematikou.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the influence of living invertebrates on the knowledge of pupils in natural history lessons at primary school. The thesis presents the results of textbook analysis, which showed which invertebrate animals are listed in the netural history textbooks as model organisms. Consequently, I have created a list of animals that are suitable as living invertebrates for teaching. I have described where and how these selected invertebrates can be caught or bought. I present four lessons of natural history, in which I used living invertebrates in the experimental class. I also present the results of comparative tests of the experimental class and the control class, which did not attend the lesson with living invertebrates. I compare my research results with similar ones.
