Predmetom záujmu tejto práce je knižnica Java NIO. Konkrétne sa zameriava na testovanie jej výkonnosti a vzájomné porovnanie rôznych virtuálnych strojov pomocou testovacej sady vyvinutej na benchmarkovanie vybraných operácií z Java NIO.
