Stativity and Progressiveness in Present-Day English

Stativity and Progressiveness in Present-Day English
Abstract:
Abstract:
The aim of this thesis was to find out whether a group of verbs, namely verbs of containing and including (to contain, to consist, to comprise, to constitute, to encompass, to incorporate, to involve, to include) appeared in the progressive form and if so, in what contexts and registers.
