Bakalářská práce „Příčiny slepoty u nás a ve světě“ pojednává o problematice světové slepoty. Na zemi žije 45 milionů nevidomých osob a dalších 270 milionů osob je zrakově hendikepováno. Bohužel tato čísla i nadále rostou. Proto Světová zdravotnická organizace vytvořila projekt Vision 2020, který má do roku 2020 snížit odstranitelnou slepotu na minimum.
