2,4,6-substituted glycolurils and their reaction with carbonyl compounds

Abstract:

Glycolurils are promising substances, whose chemism and reactivity exhibit significant perspective in supramolecular chemistry. Their significance is even multiplied thanks to their ability to form numerous types of modified structures. Glycoluril molecules possess the ability to interconnect with each other, resulting in formation of different supramolecular structures. The motif of this work was to study the reactivity of 2,4,6-trisubstituted glycolurils. Particular interest was centered to examine the reaction of 2,4,6-trimethylglycoluril with formaldehyde.

Abstract:

Glykolurily sú nádejným typom zlúčenín, ktorých chemizmus a reakčné možnosti majú v supramolekulárnej chémii značnú perspektívu. Ich význam sa znásobuje vďaka ich schopnosti tvoriť nepreberné množstvo modifikovaných štruktúr. Molekuly glykolurilu sú schopné sa navzájom spájať za vzniku rôznorodých supramolekulárnych štruktúr. Témou tejto práce je štúdium reaktivity 2,4,6-trisubstituovaných glykolurilov s karbonylovými zlúčaninami. Konkretny záujem bol venovaný reakcii 2,4,6-trimethylglykolurilu s formaldehydom.
