Mathematical modelling of heat production in deep geological repository of high-level nuclear waste
Abstract:
Odpad produkovaný jaderným průmyslem vyžaduje speciální zacházení. V současnosti se zkoumají možnosti jeho ukládání do hlubinných úložišť, budovaných ve stabilním geologickém prostředí. Ukládaný vysoce radioaktivní odpad však po dlouhou dobu produkuje nezanedbatelné množství tepla, které může negativně ovlivnit okolí úložiště (proudění podzemních vod), nebo poměry v úložišti samotném. Waste produced by nuclear industry requires special handling. Currently, there is a research taking place, focused at possibilities of nuclear waste storage in deep geological repositories, hosted in stable geological environment.
