Oligopoly structure of the czech republic bank market

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je vypracována na téma Oligopolní struktura bankovního trhu ČR. V první části je vysvětlena teorie oligopolu a měření monopolní síly. Část druhá popisuje vývoj bankovního sektoru v České republice po roce 1989. Ve třetí části je vypracována analýza vývoje oligopolní struktury bankovního trhu ČR v letech 1996 {--} 2004. V závěru je provedena komparace míry koncentrace ČR se zahraničím a je zde nastíněn budoucí vývoj bankovního sektoru.

Abstract:

This work has been worked out to follow the theme of Oligopoly structure of the Czech Republic bank market. In the first part, the theory of oligopoly and measuring of monopoly power is explained. The second part describes the trend of bank sector in Czech Republic after the year 1989. In third part, the analysis of development of Czech Republic bank market oligopoly structure in the years 1996 {--} 2004 is worked out. The final part compares the concentration of the Czech Republic bank market with concentration of foreign banks markets.
