Cílem diplomové práce je představení problematiky vzdělávání v antickém Římě pozdní republiky a raného císařství. Práce podá základní přehled pramenů, které jsou k danému tématu k dispozici a přiblíží celkový systém vzdělávání ve starověkém Římě dané doby. Podrobněji popíše některé jeho dílčí aspekty, jakými jsou vzdělávání žen, rétorické vzdělání, uplatňování tělesných trestů a vzdělání v jiných oborech …more

The aim of the thesis is to present the issue of education in ancient Rome of the late republic and early empire. The thesis will give a basic overview of the sources available on the given topic and will bring closer the overall system of education in ancient Rome of the given time.
