Abstract:

Práce pojednává genetické diverzitě a její důležitosti pro člověka. Zaměřuje se na popis metod na rozpoznávání druhů, přičemž se začíná u těch nejjednodušších, které pracují na základě porovnávání morfologických znaků, až po ty nejmodernější, fungující na základě molekulární biologie. Popisovány jsou i různé druhy nejnovějších metod sekvenování DNA, problematika umělého zvětšování genové diverzity za prostřednictvím genového inženýrství. Konkrétní příklady genetické diverzity jsou uvedeny na rodu Malus a jeho využití v ovocnářství.

Abstract:

This work discusses genetic diversity and its importance for human kind. Its focused on the description of species recognition methods starting with the simplest ones which work on the basis of comparing morphological characters, to the most modern ones which work on the basis of molecular biology. Various types of the latest methods of DNA sequencing are also described as well as the issue of artificially increasing genetic diversity through genetic engineering. As a specific example of genetic diversity is given in the genus Malus and its utilization in fruit farming.
