A Hen-house Security System Based on a Microcontroller

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou zabezpečení chovu slepic před škodnou zvěří. Teoretická část práce se zabývá analýzou chovu slepic ze současného i historického hlediska. Dále se zabývá analýzou současných řešení zabezpečení chovu slepic a jejich zhodnocení z pohledu uživatele daných řešení. Mimo jiné je v této části objasněno téma mikropočítače a byly popsány dvě mikropočítačové platformy. V praktické části byly stanoveny požadavky na funkce systému, na základě vlastních zkušeností s chovem. Na základě těchto požadavků, byly vybrány jednotlivé komponenty, kdy pro řízení celého systému byl využit mikropočítač Arduino ve verzi Nano a v další části práce, byly jednotlivé komponenty umístěny na osazovací desku. V této části byl uveden popis softwaru pro Arduino a popis mobilní aplikace z uživatelského i programového hlediska. Výsledkem této práce je systém zabezpečující chov slepic, zabraňující vniknutí škodné zvěře do vnitřních prostor kurníku, který umožňuje dálkové ovládání jednotlivých funkcí a sledování aktuálního stavu pomocí mobilní aplikace. K otevírání či zavírání dvířek dochází na základě hodnoty světelného senzoru a pro bezpečnost je využita dvojice váhových senzorů.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the issue of protecting hens from pests. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the analysis of hen breeding from a contemporary and historical point of view. It also deals with the analysis of current security solutions for hens farming and their evaluation from the point of view of the users of the given solutions. Among other things, the microcomputer topic is clarified in this section and two microcomputer platforms have been described. In the practical part, the requirements for the functions of the system were determined, based on own experience with breeding. Based on these requirements, individual components were selected, when the Arduino microcomputer in the Nano version was used to control the entire system, and in the next part of the work, the individual components were placed on the assembly board. In this section, is a description of the Arduino software and a description of the mobile application from a user and programming perspective were presented. The result of this work is a system that secures the breeding of hens, prevents the entry of harmful animals into the interior of the chicken coop, and enables remote control of individual functions and monitoring of the current status using a mobile application. The door is opened or closed based on the value of the light sensor, and a pair of weight sensors is used for safety.
