Abstract:

Hlavním cílem je zkoumání a srovnání vybraných technik, používaných pro rozpozná-vání a snímání pohybů těles v 3D prostoru na základě videa. V teoretické části se student zaměří na popis samotné problematiky motion capture, včetně vývoje od historických možností až po současné trendy a aktuálně dostupné metody. Hlavní důraz bude kladen na metody, umožňující rozpoznávání a snímání pohybů na základě videa s využíváním AI. Student se rovněž bude věnovat popisu postupu při vytváření 3D mo-delů, především s důrazem na hierarchické modely s kostrou a jejich následnou animaci. V praktické části student vytvoří několik vlastních videí pro testování služeb snímání pohybu. Dále provede experimenty s vybranými dostupnými službami, poskytujícími převod a přenos pohybů, zobrazených ve vlastních vytvořených testovacích videích, na vlastní 3D mo-dely s kostrou. Součástí experimentování bude porovnání získaných výsledků a zhodnocení jednotlivých testovaných služeb dle vlastních stanovených kritérií.

Abstract:

The main goal is to investigate and compare selected techniques used for video-based body motion recognition and capturing in 3D space. In the theoretical part, the student will focus on the description of motion capture itself, including the evolution from historical possibilities to current trends and currently available methods. The focus will be on methods enabling video-based motion recognition and capture using AI. The student will also describe the process of creating 3D models, with particular attention to hierarchical skeletal models and their subsequent animation. In the practical part, the student will create several own videos to test motion capture services. In addition, the student will perform experiments with selected available services, providing the conversion and transfer of the motions, shown in the self-created test videos, to custom 3D skeleton models. The experimentation will include comparison of the obtained results and evaluation of each tested service according to the own defined criteria.
