Nutrition and feeding of broiler chickens

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá výživou a krmením brojlerových kuřat. Zaměřuje se na výživu v embryonálním stádiu, popisuje základní krmiva a krmné doplňky používané ve velkochovech brojlerů. V práci je také popsán krátký pohled na historii a zásadní kroky ve vývoji produkce a spotřeby drůbežího masa v České republice. V následující kapitole jsou uvedeny hlavní zdravotní problémy ve výkrmech brojlerů způsobené nekvalitní výživou a vysokým příjmem krmiva spojené s rychlým růstem. Restrikce krmiva je jednou z možností omezení metabolických poruch. V práci je rovněž porovnáván ekologický chov s chovem konvenčním. Ekologické chovy zajišťují podmínky pro přirozené chování kuřat a tím zlepšují welfare chovu. Práce popisuje i výkrm speciálních masných hybridů chovaných v České republice, kterými jsou Cobb 500 a Ross 308.

Abstract:

This work is about nutrition and feeding of broiler chickens. It's focused on nutrition in the embryonic stage, describes basic feed and feed supplements used in large broiler breeds. This work also gives a brief overview of the history and key steps in the development of poultry meat production and consumption in the Czech Republic. In following chapter are also highlighted the main health problems in broiler feeds due to poor nutrition and high feed intake associated with rapid growth, and suggests options to reduce the occurrence of feed restrictions. In this work i also compared organic and conventional farming. Organic farming provide conditions for the natural behavior of chickens which improves the welfare of the breed. My work also describes the fattening of special meat hybrids reared in the Czech Republic, such as Cobb 500 and Ross 308.
