Cieľom diplomovej práce je skúmať problematiku virtuálnych mien. Prvá kapitola sa zaoberá definíciou pojmu peniaze, ich vývojom, funkciami. Záver kapitoly bilancuje, či skôr balansuje, dnešný menový systém. Druhá kapitola skúma virtuálne meny, primárne menu bitcoin. Analyzuje vývoj kurzu, bezpečnosť, anonymitu, či tvorbu bitcoinov.
