Gender leadership as a tool for increasing corporate performance

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou genderového leadershipu na trhu práce. Cílem je zjistit, zda genderový leadership ovlivňuje výkonnost a spokojenost zaměstnanců. Teoretická část je zpracována na základě odborné literatury a zahrnuje teoretická východiska, týkající se problematiky genderového leadershipu, genderových stereotypů, genderové nevyváženosti. Ve stručnosti je taký popsaná problematika zavadění kvót jako spolehlivého nástroje pro zajištění rovnováhy v řídících pozicích. V empirické části budou představeny dva mnou provedené výzkumy. Cílem obou výzkumů bude zjistit, zda existují podstatné rozdíly ve stylu řízení mužů a žen. K dosažení cíle budou použité jak kvantitativní, tak i kvalitativní metody výzkumu. V rámci studie byla stanovena jedna výzkumná otázka a jedna podotázka. Hlavní výzkumná otázka bude zkoumat rozdíly mezi ženami a muži ve stylu jejích řízení a jak tyto rozdíly ovlivňují výkonnost celého podniku. Podotázka vyšetřuje, s jakým stylem vedení a vedoucím pracovníkem jsou členové pracovního týmu spokojenější. V závěru bude uvedeno několik konkrétních doporučení, která by mohla pomoci zvýšit diverzitu a zlepšit vzájemné pochopení mezi ženami a muži.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of gender leadership in the labor market. The aim is to find out whether gender leadership affects the performance and satisfaction of employees. The theoretical part is elaborated based on professional literature and includes theoretical starting points concerning gender leadership, gender stereotypes, gender imbalance. Briefly, the described issue of quota roll-outs is a reliable tool to ensure balance in management positions. The empirical part will present two researches that I conduct. The aim of both surveys will be to find out whether there are significant differences in the management of men and women. To achieve the goal will be used both quantitative and qualitative research. The study identified one research question and one sub-question. The main research question will examine the differences between women and men in its management styles and how these differences affect the performance of the entire business. The sub-question investigates which style of leadership is more gratified regarding other members of the team. In conclusion, several concrete recommendations will be made to help increase diversity and improve mutual understanding between women and men.
