Conservative approach for lombosciatalgia in a patient with L5-S1 disc herniation: case report.

Abstract:

The herniated disc can cause lumbar pain or in more severe radiculopathy, sciatica is the symptomatology that affects the subjects with herniated disc in the lumbar region. The hernia acting as a foreign body touches or compresses the root, thus triggering the sensitive radicular syndrome and leading to a deficit of strength. The symptomatology and the pain can be treated, as well as with pharmacological therapies, through physical therapies especially in the acute phase, and with physiotherapy programs aimed above all at lengthening and detangling the column. Numerous studies have shown that postural rehabilitation leads to pain relief and recovery of elasticity and joint ROM.

Abstract:

L?ernia del disco puň provocare dolori lombari o in casi piů gravi radicolopatia, la sciatalgia č la sintomatologia che colpisce i soggetti con ernia del disco nella regione lombare. L?ernia agendo come corpo estraneo tocca o comprime la radice, scatenando cosi la sindrome radicolare sensitiva e portando a deficit di forza. La sintomatologia ed il dolore puň venire trattato, oltre che con terapie farmacologiche, attraverso terapie fisiche soprattutto nella fase acuta, e con programmi fisioterapici mirati soprattutto all?allungamento ed al detensionamento della colonna. Numerosi studi hanno messo in evidenza come la rieducazione posturale, porti all?alleviamento del dolore ed al recupero dell?elasticitŕ e del ROM articolare.
