Support of cultural activities in the region by national and European grants

Abstract:

Cílem mé diplomové práce je poukázat především na široké spektrum možností, které se v součastné době naskytuje obcím v oblasti získávání dotací, a to jak z evropských, tak národních grantů, na rozvoj kultury. Teoretická část diplomové práce je zaměřena především na analýzu jednotlivých operačních programů a grantů, ze kterých mají obce možnost požádat o finanční podporu na rozvoj kultury. Aplikační část práce vychází z praxe, kterou jsem získala působením na Městském úřadě v Litvínově v oblasti získávání dotací. Vypracovala jsem konkrétní projekt dotýkající se kulturní oblasti, včetně analýzy priorit města Litvínova v této oblasti s návrhy forem jejich financování. Dle zpracované analýzy veškerých dotačních možností jsem přesvědčena, že nejen obce, ale i např. neziskové organizace, mající ve vlastnictví nějaký kulturní objekt, mají značné možnosti získat finanční podporu, a to jak z národních tak evropských grantů. Otázkou ale zůstává, zda žadatel má dostatek financí na předfinancování projektu a zkušeností v oblasti zpracování kvalitní žádosti o dotaci.

Abstract:

The goal of the thesis is referring mainly to wide spectrum of possibilities at area of acquisition of grants, which is presented for towns from both European and national grants for development of culture. Theoretical part of my thesis is to mainly point out to analyze of single operational programs and grants, from which towns have the possibility to apply for financial support for development of culture. The application part of my thesis is based on practice, which I have obtain by working experience, for city hall in Litvínov at area of acquisition of grants. I developed certain project concerning cultural area, including analyzing priorities of the city of Litvínov with proposals for different types of their financing. According to previous analysis of all grant's possibilities I am convinced that not only towns but nonprofit organization which own some of the culture buildings have the opportunity to obtain financial support from both European and national grants. The only question is, if the applicant has enough finances to finance the project and experiences with processing quality application with grants.
