Analysis of accounting software in a business entity PPS Group a.s.

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je analyzovat účetní software v konkrétní společnosti a způsob, jakým jsou řešeny jeho základní funkce, a následně srovnat objektivní kritéria pro účetní software se skutečností. Částečným cílem práce je charakteristika vývoje a současné situace v oblasti informačních technologií, zdůrazňující důležitost kvalitních informací a jejich význam pro společnost. Teoretická část se zabývá vysvětlením základních účetních konceptů, historií vývoje účetních forem, vlivem informačních technologií na účetnictví a současným stavem řešeného problému. Praktická část je zaměřena na krátkou charakteristiku a předmět podnikání společnosti, v níž byla provedena analýza softwaru, analýza techniky a formy účetnictví, popis účetního systému a postup zpracování oběhu účetních dokladů. Součástí práce je zhodnocení účinnosti účetního softwaru a následný návrh na jeho zlepšení.

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyze the accounting software in a particular company and focus on how basic functions are solved with the subsequent comparison of objective criteria for accounting software with real situation. An additional focus of the thesis are characteristics of development and the current situation in the field of information technologies while highlighting the importance of quality information and its importance to society. The theoretical part contains an explanation of the basic accounting concepts, the history of the development of accounting forms, the influence of information technologies on accounting and the current situation of the solved problem. The practical part is focused on the brief characteristics and subject of the company's business. This includes the software analysis, technique and the forms of accounting. There is also a description of the accounting system and the process of the circulation of the accounting documents. Part of the thesis is an evaluation of the effectiveness of the accounting software and a subsequent proposal for its improvement.
