Abstract:

This master thesis presents a view of hip hop culture that originated in African-American communities in New York City during the late 1970s. The thesis offers guidance on the evolution of hip hop culture and covers basic terms, elements, features, concepts and the pioneers of hip hop including the most important issues related to the culture that became the voice of youth around the world. The thesis points out the impact of hip hop culture on society.

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce představuje hip hopovou kulturu, která se zrodila v afro-amerických komunitách v sedmdesátých letech 20. století v New Yorku. Práce se zabývá vývojem hip hopové kultury a věnuje se základní terminologii, prvkům hip hopu, jeho hlavním rysům a myšlenkám. Práce rovněž nastíní jména průkopníků kultury spolu s nejdůležitějšími událostmi týkajícími se kultury, která se stala hlasem mladých generací na celém světě. Práce také poukazuje na vliv hip hopové kultury na společnost.
