Idioms and other style elements in the translation of the novel by Bernhard Schlink "Sommerlügen" into Czech ("Letní lži")

Abstract:

This thesis goal is to analyse the phrasems and other stylistic devices used in the german book of tales by Bernhard Schlink called Sommerlügen and its czech translation Letní lži, translated by Zlata Kufnerová. The theoretical part of this thesis begins with describing the most important phenomenons concerning phrasems, then it declares the term contrastive phraseology, stylistics and stylistic function of phrasems. It also describes the basic theories of translation. In the practical part the author compares the book in its original language to its czech translation with the emphasis on prasems and stylistic devices.

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou frazeologismů a dalších stylistických prostředků na základě německého originálu povídkové knihy Bernharda Schlinka „Sommerlügen“ a jejího českého překladu „Letní lži“ od Zlaty Kufnerové. Teoretická část se zabývá popsáním nejdůležitějších jevů v oblasti frazeologie, dále pak vymezuje pojem kontrastivní frazeologie, stylistika a stylistická funkce frazeologismů. Popisuje také základní teorie překladu. Praktická část se zabývá srovnáním německého originálu a českého překladu se zaměřením na frazémy a stylistické prostředky.
