Male and female identity in today‘s society with a focus on female entrepreneurship in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na genderovou identitu a podnikání žen v Českérepublice. V teoretické části jsou charakterizovány základní pojmy, které sloužík lepšímu pochopení problematiky genderu, sociálních rolí a podnikání. V praktickéčásti je pak analyzován kvalitativní výzkum, který proběhl formou hloubkovéhorozhovoru s deseti podnikatelkami, které byly osloveny na základě definovanýchkritérií. Cílem této práce je analýza podnikání žen, jejich motivů, postojůa zkušeností, zaměřená na problematiku genderu. V závěru práce jsou pak shrnutynejdůležitější poznatky, které byly získány rešerší problematiky a kvalitativnímvýzkumem.

Abstract:

The thesis is focused on gender identity and female entrepreneurship in the CzechRepublic. The theoretical part describes the basic concepts that serve to betterunderstand the gender, social roles and entrepreneurship. In the practical part isanalyzed qualitative research, which took place in the form of an in-depth interviews with ten female entrepreneurs, who were approached on the basis of defined criteria. The aim of this work is to analyze female’s entrepreneurs, their motives, attitudes and experiences focused on gender issues. At the end of the thesis, the most important findings, which were obtained by research of the issue and qualitative research, are summarized.
