Difference/Differential Equations and Methods to Resolving Them

Abstract:

Cieľom bakalárskej práce je naštudovať problematiku diferenčného a sumačného počtu a prezentovať jeho využitie pri riešení vybraných typov diferenčných rovníc. Hlavná pozornosť bude venovaná lineárnym diferenčným rovniciam (prvého a vyšších rádov). Na konkrétnych príkladoch budú popísané a vysvetlené jednotlivé metódy riešení týchto rovníc, kde okrem klasických metód (variácia konštánt, metóda neurčitých koeficientov) bude ukázané aj použitie alternatívneho postupu, ktorým je tzv. priama a spätná Z-transformácia používaná najmä v teórií automatického riadenia.

Abstract:

The aim of bachelor thesis is to learn issues of difference and summation calculus and to present uses of them in solving various types of difference equations. The main attention will be dedicated to linear difference equations (first and higher order). Methods of solution will be described on specific examples. Besides those methods (variation of parameters, method of undetermined coefficients) there also will be shown an allternative approach which is direct and inverse Z-transform which are mostly used in theory of automatic control.
