Abstract:
Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is a malignant disease with an unfavourable prognosis. In early stages, the disease is not accompanied by specific symptoms, therefore it is frequently diagnosed too late. Duktálny adenokarcinóm pankreasu (PDAC) je malígne ochorenie s veľmi zlou prognózou. V počiatočných štádiách ochorenie nesprevádzajú špecifické príznaky, preto býva často diagnostikované príliš neskoro. Extrémne zlá prognóza súvisí aj s nedostatkom biomarkerov a obmedzenými možnosťami screeningu.
