The reading of the aduld population

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce Čtenářské aktivity dospělé populace se zabývá otázkou čtenářství, popisuje vývoj mladého čtenáře a vlivy na jeho přístupu ke knize. Věnuje se také proměně čtenářství související s rozšířením médií a rozdílnosti postoje ke knize z generačního hlediska. Praktickou část tvoří kvalitativní výzkum pomocí čtenářské biografie, jehož se účastní respondenti ze dvou odlišných generací. Výzkum je zaměřen na vývoj vztahu ke čtenářství u jedinců a s ním spojený vliv rodiny, školy, knihovny a médií v této korelaci. Cílem tohoto výzkumu je potvrdit nebo vyvrátit obecná tvrzení z odborné literatury, zdůraznit individuální odlišnosti, které mohou popírat výsledky velkých kvantitativních studií, a pokud možno také objevit souvislosti mezi těmito odlišnostmi a jinými faktory. Práce také sleduje a popisuje diferenciace mezi respondenty, kteří mají nyní 26 až 27 let a respondenty staršími 65 let.

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis The reading of the adult population is engaged in the question of reading, describes the development of young reader and the influences on his approach to a book. It also concerns to the change of reading, caused by the extension of media and to the difference in approach to a book from the generational point of view. The practical part of this thesis consists of a qualitative research by the reader´s biography. Respondents from two different generations take part in this research. The research is focused to the development of the relation to reading of individuals and to contextual influence of family, school, library and media in this corelation. The goal of this research is to confirm or to falsify general claims from scientific literature, to emphasise individual differences, which can negate the results of big quantitative studies, and to, if possible, explore connections between these differences and other factors. The thesis also observes and describes the differences between respondents, who are now 26 to 27 years old, and the respondents, who are older than 65 years.
