The Phenomenon of Involuntary Celibacy

Abstract:

Hlavním cílem bakalářské práce je sofistikované zdokumentování kontroverzní subkultury nedobrovolného celibátu, jejíž zástupce vystihuje neschopnost navázat romantické a sexuální vztahy, což podněcuje duševní problémy a sexistické tendence. Jedná se o teoretickou kvalifikační práci zpracovanou prostřednictvím metody rešerše odborné literatury včetně vědeckých výzkumů. Elementární povědomí o komplexní problematice čtenář získá formou přehledu základních definic a relevantních historických událostí. Následuje charakteristika heterogenní demografie, komplexní ideologie, psychického zdraví a způsobu komunikace příslušníků zmíněné komunity. Nechybí ani uvedení příčin vzniku nežádoucího stavu, negativních důsledků sexuální abstinence či osamělého života, masových vražd spáchaných radikalistickými jedinci nebo způsobů řešení současné situace.

Abstract:

The main objective of this thesis is a sophisticated documentation of a controversial subculture of involuntary celibacy, whose members are characterized by their inability to form romantic and sexual relationships, which causes mental health challenges and sexist tendencies. This is a theoretical thesis developed through the method of researching scholarly literature, including academic studies. The reader will gain an elementary understanding of this complex issue by reviewing basic definitions and relevant historical events. This is followed by a characterization of its heterogeneous demographics, complex ideology, mental health, and the way in which members of the community in question communicate. Also included are the causes of this undesirable condition, the negative consequences of sexual abstinence or living alone, the mass murders committed by radical individuals, and ways of dealing with the current situation.
