The use of direct frequency converters for traction vehicles

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá problematikou snižování hmotnosti trakční výzbroje vícesystémových vozidel pro vyšší rychlosti. Snížení hmotnosti se zde dosahuje použitím středofrekvenčního trakčního transformátoru namísto klasického trakčního transformátoru na 50 Hz (16,7 Hz). Středofrekvenční transformátor vychází v porovnání s klasickým několikanásobně lehčí, vyžaduje však zvýšení frekvence napětí na vstupu trakčního transformátoru. Frekvence je zvyšována pomocí přímého měniče kmitočtu (maticového měniče) připojeného na primární (vysokonapěťovou) stranu transformátoru přímo ve vozidle. Z důvodu vysokého napěťového namáhání je v práci řešen i problém sériového řazení maticových měničů. Na sekundární straně transformátoru je umístěn napěťový pulzní usměrňovač a 3f střídač. Práce tedy vytváří podklady pro řízení trakčních pohonů pomocí sériově spojených jednofázových maticových měničů, středofrekvenčního transformátoru a sekundárního pulzního usměrňovače. Práce je rozdělena na 3 hlavní části. První část popisuje zapojení a možnosti řízení maticového měniče a pulzního usměrňovače. V druhé části byla provedena analýza parametrů vstupního filtru jednofázového maticového měniče pro dané metody řízení. Naznačuje možnost návrhu optimálních parametrů vstupního filtru pro zvolenou variantu řízení. Třetí část řeší řízení sekundárního pulzního usměrňovače v kombinaci se sériově řazenými maticovými měniči. Jsou zde popsány možnosti snížení obsahu vyšších harmonických trolejového proudu a možnosti řízení jeho fázového posunu vůči napětí.

Abstract:

This work deals with the reduction of the traction equipment. Weight reduction is achieved here using medium?frequency traction transformer instead of the conventional 50 Hz (16.7 Hz) traction transformer. Medium?frequency transformer is several minor then conventional, but it requires increasing the frequency of voltage at the input of traction transformer. Frequency is increased by direct frequency converters (matrix converters) connected to the primary (HV) side of the transformer in the vehicle. Due to the high voltage, the serial conection of matrix converters is solved in this work. The voltage source active rectifier and 3 phase inverter are placed on the secondary side of the transformer. The work creates a basis for control of traction drives with series?connected single?phase matrix converters, medium?frequency transformer and secondary active rectifier. The work is divided into 3 main parts. The first part describes the internal connection and control capabilities of matrix converters and active rectifiers. In the second part an analysis of input filter parameters of single-phase matrix converter has been made for selected control methods. This analysis offers the finding of the optimal parameters of the input filter for the selected control method. The third part is about control of the secondary active rectifier in combination with serial connected matrix converters. It describes ways to reduce high harmonic content of trolley current and deals with capabilities of control of phase shift of the trolley current against voltage.
