Farmaceutický průmysl je pro Evropskou unii strategickým odvětvím jak z ekonomického hlediska, tak z hlediska veřejného zdraví. Zjistili jsme, že evropské firmy jsou na mezinárodním farmaceutickém trhu konkurenceschopné, ale jejich postavení může být ovlivněno nižší mírou inovací ve srovnání s firmami ze Spojených států a neustálým růstem čínských farmaceutických firem. The pharmaceutical industry is a strategic sector for the European Union from both an economical and public health perspective.
