Documentary Portrait - I live, I love, I dance, I zouk

Abstract:

Cílem práce je vytvořit portrétní audiovizuální dokument o tanečnici Sofii da Silva s přesahem ke stručnému nástinu vývoje latinskoamerického tance zouku v České republice. Dokument dále objasňuje rozpory mezi Sofiinou emancipovanou povahou a lektorstvím latinskoamerických tanců, kterým dominuje patriarchální uspořádání společnosti. Zabývá se i kulturními rozdíly mezi Brazilci a Čechy (v reflexi se Sofiiným životem). Praktický výstup bude vymezen teoretickou částí, jež stanoví a odůvodní podmínky tvůrčí části a zasadí je do teoretického a metodologického rámce. Vlastním přínosem v této části bude konceptualizace tance v dokumentárních filmech a jeho technické možnosti natáčení. Dále prokázání, že publikum vnímá ženské tělo tančící latinskoamerické tance jako femininní projev oslavující ženské pohyby a opomíjející ženskou mysl, což bude kontrastně se Sofiinou povahou reflektováno v tvůrčí části práce, v audiovizuálním dokumentu. V reflexi tvůrčí části popíšu výrobu praktické části s postupy a metodami použitými při vzniku portrétního dokumentu.

Abstract:

The aim is to create an audiovisual documentary portrait of dancer Sofia da Silva with an overlap to give a brief outline of the development of Latin American dance zouk in the Czech Republic. The document also explains the differences between Sophie's emancipated nature and lector of Latin American dances, dominated patriarchal society. It deals with the cultural differences between Brazilians and Czechs (in the reflection of the Sophie´s life). Practical output will be defined by theoretical part, which define and justify the conditions of a creative principle with theoretical and methodological framework. Own contribution in this part is the conceptualization of dance in documentary film and its technical capabilities of the shooting. Also proof that the audience perceives the female body dancing Latin dance as feminine speech celebrating women's movements and pass over a woman's mind, which will contrast with Sophie's character reflected in the creative part of the work in the audiovisual document. The creative reflection includes the story of making practical procedures and methods used in the creation of a portrait document.
