The process of recruiting and selecting of employees at the Police of the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Tématem této diplomové práce jsou personální činnosti získávání a výběru zaměstnanců (resp. zaměstnanců ve služebním poměru). Cílem práce je analyzovat tyto současné procesy v organizaci Policie České republiky a navrhnout doporučení, která zvýší jejich efektivnost. Práce je dělena do dvou částí. V první části je tato problematika vymezena na teoretické úrovni, konkrétně je zde definováno personální plánování a dále personální činnosti získávání a výběru zaměstnanců. Praktická část analyzuje tyto činnosti v dané organizaci a především je zaměřena na vlastní výzkum provedený pomoci dotazníkového šetření metodou convenience sampling a pomocí rozhovoru s personalistou Policie ČR realizovaným standardizovanou metodou. V závěru práce jsou na základě vlastního výzkumu navržena doporučení vedoucí k větší efektivitě zkoumaných personálních činností.

Abstract:

The topic of this diploma thesis is personnel activities of recruitment and selection of employees (service employees). The aim of this work is to analyze these current processes in the organization of the Police of the Czech Republic and to propose recommendations that will increase their effectiveness. The work is divided into two parts. In the first part, this issue is defined on a theoretical level, specifically it defines personnel planning and personnel activities for recruiting and selecting employees. The practical part analyzes these activities in the organization and is mainly focused on my own research conducted through a questionnaire survey using the convenience sampling method and through an interview with a recruiter Police of the Czech Republic implemented by a standardized method. At the end of the work, based on my own research, recommendations are proposed leading to greater efficiency of the researched personnel activities.
