Determinants of Vocational Evolution of Sport Gymnasium Students

Abstract:

Tato práce se zaměřuje na problematiku profesního vývoje člověka, konkrétně na profesní vývoj dospívajících studentů sportovního gymnázia. Tito studenti si zvolili střední školu převážně na základě svého zájmu o sport. Cílem kvalitativního výzkumu bylo zjistit, jakou roli bude hrát zájem o sport v jejich dalším profesním směřování. V teoretické části je představen koncept profesního vývoje jedince s ohledem na profesní orientaci dospívajících sportovců. Výzkum probíhal ve dvou fázích. V první fázi byla data sbírána formou dotazníků, v druhé byla data získána z polostrukturovaných rozhovorů. Pro analýzu získaných dat byla použita kombinace dvou metod, a to metody vytváření trsů a metody kontrastu a srovnávání. Výsledky výzkumu potvrdili určitou souvislost mezi sportovní činností studentů a volbou jejich profese, současně poukázal na význam zájmů při volbě povolání.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on the problems of vocational evolution of human, particularly on the evolution of adolescents - students of sports gymnasium. These students have chosen secondary school primarily pursuant to their interest in sports. The aim of the qualitative research was to find out the role of their interest in sports in their further vocational direction. There is an introduction of the concept of vocational evolution of an individual in relation to vocational direction of adolescent sportsmen in the theoretical part. The research proceeded in two phases. In the first phase, data were collected in questionnaires, in the second phase data were obtained in half-structured interviews. The combination of the two methods, method of creating clusters and opposition and comparison method, were used to analyze the data. The results of research have proven certain connection between sports activity of students and the choice of their profession and at the same time showed the importance of interests in careers selection.
