Awareness of women athletes on prevention and risk factors of thromboembolic disease

Abstract:

Názvem této bakalářské práce je "Informovanost žen sportovkyň o prevenci a rizikových faktorech tromboembolické nemoci". Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. V teoretické části se zaměřuji na to, co tromboembolická nemoc je, jak se projevuje, jaká je léčba a její prevence. Podrobně jsou rozepsány rizikové faktory. Poslední kapitola se zaměřuje na trombózu v souvislosti se sportem. Praktická část zjišťuje pomocí kvantitativního výzkumu úroveň znalostí o této problematice. Jako metodu výzkumu jsem zvolila nestandardizovaný dotazník. Ten jsem rozdělila podle dílčích cílů na čtyři okruhy. První se týká základních znalostí o onemocnění. Druhý okruh se zaměřuje na znalost rizikových faktorů nemoci. Třetí okruh zjišťuje znalost preventivních opatření. A poslední okruh se zaměřuje na ženy, které užívají hormonální antikoncepci. Výsledky jsem prezentovala formou sloupcových grafů a rozvedla v diskusi. Výzkumem jsem zjistila, že informovanost sportovkyň není příliš validní, a že by byla vhodná hlubší edukace, např. uspořádání semináře.

Abstract:

The title of the thesis is " The awareness of sportswomen about prevention and risk factors for thromboembolic disease". The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part I focus on description of the thromboembolic disease, what are the symptoms, how to treat and prevent this disease. Risk factors are described in detail here. The last chapter deals with thrombosis in connection with sports. In the practical part I ascertain the level of the awareness of this disease through the quantitative research. As the research method I chose the questionnaire, which I divided into four sections by the sub-goals. The first section covers the basic knowledge about the disease. The second one deals with knowledge about the risk factors. The third section is dedicated to the survey of knowledge of prevention and the last one deals with women using hormonal anticonception. Results are presented in the form of bar graphs and are discussed in the discussion.). Through this research I found out that awareness of athletes about this issue is not valid and better awareness is needed for example by organization of seminars.
