Úvod. Genómová stabilita je neustále ohrozovaná exogénnymi a endogénnymi faktormi. Ochranu genetického materiálu zabezpečujú rôzne DNA opravné mechanizmy, ktoré neustále rozoznávajú a opravujú DNA poškodenia, ktorého môžu potenciálne viesť ku karcinogenéze. Background. Genome integrity is continuously challenged by exogenous or endogenous factors. To prevent global DNA damage potentially leading to tumorigenesis, DNA lesions need to be permanently recognized and repaired. A large set of proteins contribute to DNA repair.
