Diplomová práce je věnována vlivu výsledků voleb do zastupitelstev krajů na rozvoj regionů. První část popisuje veřejnou správu a krajskou územní samosprávu. Další část se věnuje působnosti krajů v oblasti rozvoje regionů a charakterizováním pojmů region a rozvoj. Po té je v diplomové práci teoretické vymezení použitých metod korelační a regresní analýzy.
