Racionální ignorance je jedním z oborů školy veřejné volby, zabývající se od poloviny 20. století voliči a jejich vědomou neznalostí. Její hypotézou je, že se voliči záměrně nedostatečně informují o nadcházejících volbách. Po ověření této teorie pomocí empirické sondy bylo dokázáno, že tato teorie platí i pro současné české voliče. Abstract:
Rational ignorance is one of the areas of public choice school, dealing with voters and their deliberate ignorance of the mid-20th century. The hypothesis is that voters are deliberately poorly informed about the upcoming elections. This thesis verifies by empirical probes that this theory also applies to Czech voters.
