Performence Testing of Web Applications in the Context of Continuous Integration

Abstract:

Load Testing of Web applications is an important and often neglected part of their development. I focus my attention in this thesis on the issues of Load Testing and on the possibilities of incorporating Load Testing into Continuous Integration methodology. Another part introduces Continuous Integration and several integration tools. Furthermore, this thesis deals with comparing individual open-source load testing tools and the plausibility of their use in Continuous Integration, including practical verification.

Abstract:

Záťažové testovanie webových aplikácií je dôležitou a často zanedbávanou súčasťou ich vývoja. V tejto práci sa zameriavam na predstavenie problematiky záťažového testovania a na možnosti začlenenia záťažového testovania do metodiky priebežnej integrácie. Samostatná časť je venovaná predstaveniu priebežnej integrácie a niekoľkých nástrojov na jej podporu. Ďalej sa práca zaoberá porovnaním jednotlivých dostupných voľne šíriteľných nástrojov na záťažové testovanie a ich vhodnosťou na použitie v priebežnej integrácii, vrátane praktických overení.
