Business Ethics

Abstract:

Ve své bakalářské práci se zabývám etikou v podnikání. Etiku v podnikání považuji za stále velmi aktuální téma, kterému je třeba věnovat patřičnou pozornost. Tímto tématem by se měl zabývat každý, kdo chce být v podnikání úspěšný a konkurenceschopný. Teoretická část je věnována základním etickým pojmům, jako jsou etika a morálka. Jsou zde popsány základní kategorie etiky a stručný pohled do historie etiky. Další část teoretické části je věnována vývoji a nástrojům podnikatelské etiky. Pozornost je zaměřena zejména na základní nástroj etiky - etický kodex. Dále je zde rozpracováno téma společenské odpovědnosti firem, její význam pro firmy i společnost. Praktická část se zabývá analýzou a vyhodnocením současného stavu uplatňování etiky ve firmě Kooperativa pojišťovna, a.s., Vienna Insurance Group, nástroji etiky, které firma preferuje a přístupem ke konceptu společenské odpovědnosti. Cílem této bakalářské práce je, na základě teoretických poznatků, provedení analýzy současného stavu v uplatňování etického přístupu v podnikání ve vybrané firmě. Na základě výsledku analýzy předložení návrhů a doporučení, které pomohou pozitivně rozvíjet etické chování ve sledované společnosti, zvýšit její image a přinést konkurenční výhodu.

Abstract:

In my Bachelor thesis I deal with the business ethics. I think that the business ethics is still very current theme, to which it is necessary to pay a befitting attention. Everyone, who wants to be successful and competitive in his business, should deal with this theme. The theoretical part is devoted to basic concepts such as ethics and morality. In this part there are described basic categories of ethics and brief view into ethics history. Further part of the theoretical part is devoted to development and tools of business ethics. An attention is paid especially to the basic tool of ethics - the code of ethics. Further is here developed the theme Corporate Social Responsibility, its importance for companies and society. The practical part deals with an analysis and an evaluation of the present state of application of the ethics in the company Kooperativa pojišťovna, a.s., Vienna Insurance Group, tools of ethics, that the company prefers, and an attitude to concept of social responsibility. The aim of this Bachelor Thesis is on the basic of theoretical knowledge to carry out an analysis of present state of application of ethics attitude in business of chosen company. On the basis of the result of analysis presentation propositions and recommendations, which will help positively to develop ethical behavior in examined company, to improve its image and to bring competitive advantages.
