Abstract:

Tomáš Kulka se zabývá aktuálními problémy světa umění. Práce přináší paletu témat, ke kterým se Tomáš Kulka v letech 1990 – 2007 vyjadřoval v časopise Estetika. Hlavním okruhem zájmu autora je analytická estetika aplikovaná na kritickou praxi v umění, muzejnictví a kurátorství. Umění chápe jako dynamicky se rozvíjející odvětví. Funkcí umělecké kritiky je komentovat aktuální dění v umění. Proto je nutné, aby své teorie přizpůsobovala současným trendům. Největším přínosem je transformace Popperovy teorie testování vědeckých teorií do hypotézy, jež má za úkol určovat míru správnosti uměleckého díla. Kulka vytvořil algebraický model určování estetické hodnoty, jež má obnažit základní logickou strukturu estetických hodnotových soudů. Estetickou hodnotu uměleckých děl definuje funkcí, která používá jako své prvky pojem alterace. Uměleckou hodnotu definuje jako vlastní potenciál a ohlas inovace představovaný dílem pro svět umění. Další hypotéza nazvaná estetický dualismus, rozděluje hodnocení uměleckého díla na hodnotu uměleckou a estetickou. Velký prostor věnuje problému falsa a autenticity. Problém řeší praktickou aplikací estetického dualismu na hodnocení padělku a falsa. Radikální restrukturalizací tří obecně uznávaných teorií humoru a smíchu se dostává k vlastní hypotéze podstaty smíchu. V článku o Nelsonu Goodmanovi vzdává hold filosofovi, který ho společně s Karlem Popperem ovlivnil nejvíce.

Abstract:

Tomáš Kulka is concerned with topical problems of the world of art. The job brings a range of themes. Tomáš Kulka expressed himself regarding these problems in the Estetika magazine in years 1990-2007. The main area of author´s interest is the analytical aesthetics applied to practical critique in art, museum matters and curatorship. He understands art as a dynamically developing branch. The function of art critique is to comment topical events in art. Therefore it is neccessary that its theories are updated to the contemporary rules. He adapted Popper´s theory of scientific theories testing to a hypothesis which is supposed to asses the rate of rightness of a work of art. In another hypothesis – the aesthetical dualism – he devides evaluation of art works into the artistic value and the aesthetical value. Kulka created an algebraic model of assessing an aesthetical value, which is supposed to expose the basic logical structure of aesthetical value judgement. He presents the aesthetical value of art works as a function which uses various alternations as its elements. The art value is defined as own potential, inovation response represented by the work of art. a large space is dedicated to the problem of forgery and authenticity. He solves the problem by applying the aesthetical dualism for evaluation of forgery. By a radical restructuralisation of the three commonly recognised theories of humor and laughter he develops his own hypothesis on the essence of laughter. In his article on Nelson Goodman he pays tribute to the phisopher who – together with Karel Popper – influenced him the most.
