Reaction of the municipalities of Moravskotřebovsko and Jevíčsko to the flood situation after 1997

Abstract:

Práce se věnuje problematice povodní a protipovodňových opatření. V textu jsou popsána základní rizika vzniku povodní, jsou vysvětleny a popsány jednotlivé druhy povodní, historie povodní na území České republiky od roku 1845, jsou vysvětleny stupně povodňové aktivity a jsou zmíněny možné preventivní kroky a opatření, jejichž cílem je snižovat rizika dopadů případných povodní. Práce dále zaměřuje na region Moravskotřebovska a Jevíčska a popisuje protipovodňová opatření jednotlivých obcí v těchto oblastech, která byla realizována nebo byla naplánována a jejich realizace dosud nebyla provedena či dokončena. V závěru práce jsou přístupy obcí k protipovodňové problematice komentovány a příčiny identifikovaných rozdílů mezi nimi jsou vysvětleny.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the issue of floods and flood protection measures. The text describes the basic risks of flood occurrence, explains and describes the different types of floods, the history of floods in the Czech Republic since 1845, explains the levels of flood activity and mentions possible preventive steps and measures aimed at reducing the risk of flood impacts. The work also focuses on the region of Moravskotřebovsko and Jevíčsko and describes flood protection measures of individual municipalities in these areas that have been implemented or planned and their implementation has not yet been carried out or completed. In the conclusion of the thesis, the approaches of the municipalities to flood control issues are commented and the reasons for the identified differences between them are explained.
