Age Management in the context of employment of seniors and people in post-productive age in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá vývojem teorie Age managementu v České republice. Hlavním cílem této práce je zkoumat, klasifikovat a zhodnotit faktory, které působí na zaměstnanost seniorů a osob v poproduktivním věku z hlediska motivace zaměstnavatele. Teoretická část je věnována popisu demografické situace, charakterizuje postavení seniorů a osob v poproduktivním věku na trhu práce České republiky, zabývá se historií Age managementu a možnostmi uplatňování jeho zásad v praxi. V praktické části je v bankovním sektoru proveden kvalitativní výzkum. Pomocí hloubkových rozhovorů jsou zjišťovány faktory ovlivňují zaměstnavatele při zaměstnávání seniorů a osob v poproduktivním věku. Nejdůležitějšími faktory jsou praxe v oboru, ochota dále se vzdělávat a začlenění se do týmu stávajících zaměstnanců.

Abstract:

This bachelor´s thesis deals with the development of Age Management theory in the Czech Republic. The main aim of this bachelor´s thesis is to examine, classify and evaluate factors that affect the employment of seniors and people in post-productive age in terms of employer motivation. The theoretical part is devoted to the description of demographic situation. It characterizes the position of seniors and people in post-productive age in the labor market of the Czech Republic, deals with the history of Age Management and the possibility of applying its principles in practice. In the practical part there is a qualitative research in the banking sector. Factors influencing employers when employing seniors and people in post-productive age are investigated through in-depth interviews. The most important factors are field experiences, willingness to continue learning, and integration into the team of existing employees.
