The reflexion of holocaust in Czech literature 1945 - 1949

Abstract:

Cílem mé práce je všeobecně zmapovat poválečnou literaturu o holocaustu, popsat její vývoj a specifika a v dílech publikovaných v období 1945-1949 pak klasifikovat reflexi holocaustu a zhodnotit formální zpracování reflektovaných prvků. Zaměřila jsem se na díla, která v dostatečné míře zachycují nejčastěji reflektované prvky holocaustu, a to perzekuci, degradaci, boj o důstojnost, pasivní přijetí údělu, utrpení těla i ducha, únik z utrpení a smrt. Má práce shrnuje specifika první poválečné vlny literatury o holocaustu, důvody pro její vznik i problémy, jimž autoři mnohdy museli čelit, a hlavně konkrétní aspekty holocaustu v ní reflektované, stejně tak jako jejich formální zpracování.

Abstract:

The aim of my thesis is to classify after-war literature about the Holocaust in general, to describe its development and particularities, and in works published from 1945 to 1949 classify the reflexion of the Holocaust and analyze formal depiction of the reflected features. I have focused on the works sufficiently copying with the most often reflected features of the Holocaust. These features are persecusion, degradation, fight for dignity, passive acceptation of destiny, suffering of body and soul, exit from suffering, and death. My thesis sums up the particularities of after-war literature about the Holocaust, the reasons for its emergence and problems its authors had to deal with, and lastly and mainly the specific aspects of the Holocaust reflected in this literature as well as their formal realizations.
