Perception of the process of foster care from the perspective of the foster family

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce nese název Vnímání procesu pěstounské péče z pohledu pěstounské rodiny. Cílem mé práce je zanalyzovat proces vnímání pěstounské péče skrze pohled pěstounské rodiny. Konkrétně co bylo jejich motivací k náhradní rodinné péči, jak pěstounské rodiny vnímají celkový proces zprostředkování a dále jaké přínosy a rizika v samotném procesu vnímají. Ke zjištění byly využity polostrukturované rozhovory, a to s pěstounskými rodinami, které prošly nebo prochází pěstounskou péčí zprostředkovanou či nezprostředkovanou. Všechny rozhovory byly následně přepsány a kódovány. Z těchto kódů následně vznikly kategorie, které budou blíže popsány v nadcházejících kapitolách. Na základě zjištěných dat bylo vytvořeno doporučení, jakým způsobem lze proces svěření dítěte do péče pěstounům zpříjemnit nebo v rámci legislativních podmínek usnadnit.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is entitled Perceptions of the foster care process from the perspective of the foster family. The aim of my thesis is to analyse the process of perception of foster care through the perspective of the foster family. Specifically, what was their motivation for foster care, how foster families perceive the overall process of mediation, as well as what benefits and risks they perceive in the process itself. Semi-structured interviews were used to find out, namely with foster families who have been or are going through mediated or unmediated foster care. All interviews were subsequently transcribed and coded. These codes subsequently gave rise to the categories that will be described in more detail in forthcoming chapters. Based on the data, recommendations were made on how the process of placing a child in the care of foster parents can be made more convenient or easier within the legislative framework.
