The term " class " by Karl Marx and his chosen followers

Abstract:

Ve své teoretické bakalářské práci se budu zabývat pojmem sociální třída z podhledu Karla Marxe a autorů, kteří na něj navazují, jako jsou Max Weber, Erick Ohlin Wright, John Goldthorpe, Anthony Giddens a další. Pojem ?třída? se nikdy nedočkal jednotné definice a ni od Marxe ani od autorů veřejností je často považován jen za přežitý symbol socialistického útlaku, spíše nežli platný vědecky pojem, který zdánlivě mizí z oblasti zájmů sociálních vědců, já se však s tímto názorem neztotožňuji. Mým cílem bude nejen popsat, jakým způsobem definovali sociální třídu jednotliví autoři, ale také srovnat jejich pojetí této problematiky. Budu se také snažit o reflexi vývoje pojetí pojmu ?třída? od doby Karla Marxe po dnešní dobu.

Abstract:

In this theoretical thesis I will deal with the concept of social class from the point of view of Karl Marx and authors who built on his theory, such as Max Weber, Erick Ohlin Wright, John Goldthorpe, Anthony Giddens and others. The term ?class? was never clearly defined by Marx nor any other author. By the public is often regarded as just an anachronistic symbol of socialist oppression, rather than a valid scientific concept, which seemingly disappearing from the areas of interest of social scientists, but I do not agree with it. My objective is not only to describe how social class is defined by individual authors, but also to compare their approach to this issue. I will also try to reflect on the development of the concept of ?class? since time of Karl Marx to the present time.
