Bachelor’s thesis highlights the importance of zinc and its role in a human body, particularly with patients diagnosed with cancer. It also describes the relation between the zinc deficiency and the cancer, alternatively how treatment of the malignancy affects the plasma zinc level and on the contrary, how zinc deficiency affects patients with cancer. Bakalárska práca vyzdvihuje dôležitosť zinku a jeho úlohu v ľudskom organizme, zvlášť u pacientov s nádorovým ochorením. Popisuje, ako môže súvisieť rozvoj nedostatku zinku s nádorovým ochorením, prípadne liečbou nádorového ochorenia a naopak, aké následky môže mať nedostatok zinku u pacientov s nádorovým ochorením.
