Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury in sports: pre-rehabilitation and post-reconstruction rehabilitation

Abstract:

Following an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury, proper rehabilitation is fundamental to ensure the individual a successful return to sports and prevention of potential complications. Rehabilitation can vary in duration and the importance of preand post-reconstruction surgery rehabilitation is a matter of debate. The aim of this study is to investigate, through literature review, the main studies on the subject to better understand the effects of preoperative and post-surgery rehabilitation.

Abstract:

A seguito della lesione del legamento crociato anteriore (LCA) risulta essere fondamentale una corretta riabilitazione per garantire al soggetto un adeguato ritorno allo sport e la prevenzione da eventuali complicazioni. La riabilitazione pu? variare in termini di durata ed ? controversa l'importanza della riabilitazione ante e post-intervento di ricostruzione. Il presente lavoro ha come obiettivo quello di indagare, mediante ricerca bibliografica, i principali studi di letteratura che trattano l'argomento per comprendere meglio gli effetti della riabilitazione preoperatoria e post-intervento.
