Bakalářská diplomová práce zkoumá rozdílnosti a podobnosti na úrovni literární kategorie prostoru. Zabývá se jeho významotvorností v literárním díle Pěna dní a v jeho dvou adaptacích: divadelní a filmové. Kategorie prostoru se v díle Borise Viana stává téměř samostatnou postavou, která se v průběhu vyprávění vyvíjí. Tento vývoj je závislý na psychickém stavu protagonistů románu.
