Metropolitan Plan of Prague and Landscape Architecture

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce podrobně rozebírá téma Metropolitního plánu Prahy a krajinářské architektury. Cílem bylo zhodnotit možné přístupy k řešení systémů sídelní zeleně, neboli zelené infrastruktury u nási v zahraničí a porovnat, jak s tímto tématem pracuje nový Metropolitní plán Prahy. Východiska literární rešerše jsou prověřena v návrhu modelového území. To se nachází v pražských Vysočanech, kolem toku potoka Rokytky. Návrh využívá možnosti krajinářské architektury aplikovatelné v tomto transformačním území a porovnává, do jaké míry se oborový názor potkává s možnostmi Metropolitního plánu. Stěžejním závěrem práce je, že Metropolitní plán postrádá systematické propojení významných ploch sídelní zeleně. Dalším krokem, který by Praha měla podpořit, je vznik politiky zelené infrastruktury a návrh rozvojových os a strategických propojení. Ty je třeba dále prověřit prostorovým vymezením na lokální úrovni.

Abstract:

This thesis analyzes in detail the topic of Metropolitan Plan of Prague and landscape architecture. The aim of this paper was to evaluate the current approaches to urban green system or green infrastructure occuring in the Czech Republic but also abroad and compare the approach to this topic performer by the Metropolitan Plan of Prague. Outcomes of literature overwiev are proved by design proposal of model area. It is situated in Vysočany, along by the stream of river Rokytka. Design proposal exploits landscape architecture tools applicable in this particular transformation area and compares to what extent the point of view of landscape architecture coincides a scope of the Metropolitan Plan. The main conclusion of this paper is, that the Metropolitan Plan lacks systematic connections between major urban green spaces. The next step, that Prague should support, is a creation of green infrastructure politic and to define the main development axis and strategic connections. Those are to be proven by spatial design proposal on local level.
