Improvement of Assembly Line of Headlights in a Chosen Company

Abstract:

Diplomová práca sa zaoberá zefektívnením montážnej linky svetlometov vo vybranej spoločnosti. Cieľom bolo zvýšenie produktivity linky o 10 % oproti súčasnému stavu. Pre splnenie cieľa bolo potrebné zanalyzovať súčasný stav, navrhnúť zlepšenie a zamerať sa na skrátenie časov pretypovania. V práci boli použité logické i empirické metódy. V analýze bolo využité priame pozorovanie, rozhovory a meranie práce. Na základe výsledkov analýz boli určené hlavné nedostatky, prostredníctvom ktorých bol vytvorený projekt. Projekt sa zameriava na aplikáciu metódy SMED, skrátenie časov pretypovania, a s tým spojenú úpravu layoutu. Ďalšími časťami projektu sú úprava značenia materiálu, zavedenie e-portálu a v neposlednom rade školiaci program pre zamestnancov. Na záver je projekt vyhodnotený po časovej i finančnej stránke.

Abstract:

Diploma thesis deals with making the assembly line for headlights production more efficient in a selected company. The target has been to increase the assembly line productivity by 10 % in comparison to a current state. In order to meet the target, it has been inevitable to analyse the current state, propose improvements, and focus on reducing the changeover time. Logical and empirical methods have been used in the thesis. The techniques used in the analysis have been direct observation, interviews and work measurement methods. Based on the analysis results, the main drawbacks have been identified, by means of which the project has been created. The project focuses on implementation of SMED method, reducing the changeover time and layout change. Next parts of the project are not only adjusting of material labelling, e-portal implementation, but also a training program for employees. In conclusion the project is evaluated according to both time and financial point of view.
