Selected questions of teacher´s self-concept in kindergarden

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá vybranými otázkami sebepojetí učitele mateřské školy. Teoretická část byla zpracována se zaměřením na objasnění pojmů týkajících se sebepojetí učitele. Cílem empirické části bylo charakterizovat jednu z klíčových aspektů sebepojetí učitele, a to profesní identitu učitele mateřské školy. Výzkum byl realizován v kvalitativně orientovaném designu s využitím metody analýzy životního příběhu učitelky mateřské školy. Pomocí otevřeného kódování vznikly kódy a kategorie, jimiž se projevuje profesní identita učitelek mateřských škol. Ve výsledcích empirického šetření bylo možné identifikovat vliv silných stránek charakteru na vývoj profesní identity a zaznamenat postupy, jimiž participantky popisovaly vlastní vývoj profesní identity. Z výsledků výzkumu vyplynulo doporučení pro praxi, které je uvedeno v závěru práce.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with selected issues of self-concept of a nursery school teacher. The theoretical part was elaborated with a focus on clarification of terms related to teacher's self-concept. The aim of the empirical part was to characterize one of the key aspects of the self-concept of the teacher, namely the professional identity of the nursery school teacher. The research was performed in a qualitatively oriented design, there was used a method of analysis the life story of the nursery teacher. Codes and categories have emerged through open coding these reflect to the professional identity of teachers. In the results of the empirical survey it was possible to identify the influence of the strong points of character on the development of professional identity and to register the procedures used by participants to describe their own professional identity development. A recommendation for practice was based on the results of research, this recommendation is stated in the conclusion of the thesis.
