Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce uvádí čtenáře do problematiky přelidnění a ukazuje závažnost situace a problémy, které přelidnění způsobuje a katalyzuje. Práce představuje jednotlivé způsoby řešení, přičemž favorizuje dostupnost metod plánovaného rodičovství, vzdělávání dívek a emancipaci žen. Dále se práce věnuje reprodukční a environmentální etice, především etice malých rodin, jejíž globální přijetí jako normu vidí jako klíčové pro to, aby se lidská populace nejprve stabilizovala a poté snížila tak, aby bylo dosaženo dlouhodobě udržitelného stavu mezi lidstvem a přírodou.

Abstract:

This Master's Thesis discusses the problem of human overpopulation and the severe problems it causes or catalyzes. It presents different groups of solutions and favors the availability of family planning methods and services, education, and empowerment of girls and women. Further, the Thesis delves into reproductive and environmental ethics and supports embracing smaller families as a global norm. This is of vital importance because, given the population projections, it is the only humane means that can bring back and restore the lost balance between humanity and nature.
