Geometrical azimutal projections in carthography

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje popisu geometrických azimutálních zobrazení, konkrétně ortografické, stereografické a gnómonické projekci, které spadají pod širokou kategorii kartografických zobrazení. V první kapitole jsou uvedeny obecné informace o kartografických zobrazeních a ve druhé už se podrobně zabýváme výše jmenovanými projekcemi, jejich vlastnostmi a způsoby konstrukcí. Získané poznatky jsou poté uplatňovány ve třetí kapitole, která poskytuje čtenáři návody k řešení příkladů uvedených v příloze.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with description of geometric azimuthal projections, particularly orthographic, stereographic and gnomonic ones that are part of wide category of~cartographic projections. General information about cartographic projections is presented in the firts part and then the projections mentioned above, their characteristics and constructions are described in detail. The reader should be able to use the acquired knowledge in solving the problems presented in the appendix. All of these problems are also solved in the last chapter of this thesis.
